Wolverhampton Vocational Training Centre (WVTC)
Students in Year 11 attend the Wolverhampton Vocational Training Centre every Friday to study vocational courses in motor vehicle, construction, hair and beauty and painting and decorating.
This gives students an opportunity of learning outside the classroom in a work based environment to gain skills, knowledge and qualifications for future employment/apprenticeship pathways.
Students are given their own overalls and boots for the year. This means they have to wash them each week ready for work. Students are transported to WVTC by school mini-buses and supported by T.A's from the school at the centre. Staff from WVTC teach and train the students in 6 groups to develop the skills and knowledge in a vocational area.
