As part of the school’s commitment to providing our students with Independent advice and guidance on their future career pathways we have provided our students with a number of opportunities to gain information.
A dedicated careers section of the library has prospectuses on local colleges and further education providers. The Careers section shows the pathways students will need to take when deciding where they wish to go post 16.
In Year 9 students choose option courses based on their interests which will help them towards their chosen pathways. In year 11 students will meet with Mrs. Perry to discuss their aspirations and look at finding courses and filling out application forms.
Each year the school hosts an annual Careers Fayre where we invite local education providers and employers as well as training providers to give information to both students and parents / carers.
In July 2017 we were fortunate enough to have thirteen external providers attend the event and everyone who attended the event found it extremely useful.
