Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor – Study Group  (Term Time Only).

To start as soon as possible.

Salary Grade 5 - £16,573 - £17,587 37 hours per week :

Mon -  8.30 to 4.30 pm

Tues - 8.30 to 4.30 pm

Wed -  8.30 to 5.00 pm

Thur -  8.30 to 4.30 pm

Fri    -  8.30 to 3.30 pm

This is an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor to join the team at Hednesford Valley High School.

This role involves working alongside the teacher in the Study Group to support the delivery of the curriculum and to produce resources for the students before and after school hours.

We require a flexible and creative individual. Who:-

  • Has very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.
  • Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or recognized equivalent qualification.
  • Has excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.
  • Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Can act as Cover Supervisor during the absence of teaching staff.
  • This person will be involved in supporting students with their personal care.
  • Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.
  • A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.
  • This role can change to work across the school/sites with other student groups if required.

Wed 08:30-17:00

This is an exciting new opportunity for 2 x Inclusion Assistants to join the team at Hednesford Valley High.

This role involves working with students in the classroom on both sites and on a 1:1 or small group basis with students who are unable to access the curriculum in school.  You will initially work across the school to gain knowledge and experience of our students and the curriculum.  For some of your time you will work in the new Learning Resource Centre/Meeting Room 1 delivering aspects of the curriculum and providing pastoral support for students, as well as supporting across the school.

At the end of the school day you will have time to complete marking, preparation of resources and reports of students progress.

We require a flexible and creative individual who:-

Cleaner - Permanent Position 12 hours per week

Hours of work – Monday-Friday 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm Friday 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. To start a.s.a.p.

Actual Salary : £5,315/annum  (£9.00/hour)

We are seeking to appoint a cleaner to work alongside our team of cleaners to keep our school clean and tidy.  The position is 12 hours per week during term time plus other hours to be worked during school holidays to complete deep cleaning of the school buildings – to be agreed

NB: Holidays can only be taken during school holiday periods.

Duties to include: mop sweeping, single solution mopping, spray cleaning, suction cleaning, damp wiping, waste disposal, cleaning of toilet facilities and associated tasks required to achieve a high quality of cleanliness.

Hednesford Valley High is a good generic secondary special school with a split site provision.  Students in Year 7-11 are based at the Hednesford Valley High, Stanley Road Site, and students in Years 12-14 are based in E block at Cannock Chase High.  The school caters for a wide range of students, many with more than one area of SEN.  All staff are totally committed to providing excellent teaching and learning to empower students to become independent citizens of the world.
