Inclusion Support Manager – Permanent/Part-time Position - 32 hours per week. Term Time Only.

Hours of work – Mon, 08:40-16:10 Tues-Fri 08:30-15:15. To start 4th January 2021 (or sooner)

Grade 8 point 22 - Starting Salary: £20,218

 

This is an exciting new opportunity for an Inclusion Support Manager to join the team at Hednesford Valley High School.

 

This role involves:

  • Working with the Every Child Matters Co-Ordinator to organise arrangements for students in the Learning Resource Centre, the Life Skills Centre and the Sensory Room.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the Learning Resource Centre and to train and mentor staff.
  • You will be required to deliver blended/virtual programmes of work to students, either 1:1 or in groups using Microsoft Teams.
  • You will be required to line manage the staff of the Learning Resource Centre and the Life Skills Centre.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all students are engaged and learning in their lessons and that students adhere to the School Code of Conduct.
  • You will work directly with staff and parents to improve individual student behaviour.
  • You will be responsible for improving the behaviour and well-being of individual students by developing approaches based on our existing good practice.
  • You will be required to work with vulnerable groups of students in the school (such as student carers, ‘Looked After’ students, students in crisis).
  • You will support the integration of students who have joined the school under difficult circumstances.
  • You will work with outside agencies and parents in monitoring individualised programmes of support, liaising with external agencies, parents and teachers to explore and exhaust possible inclusion strategies.
  • You will be required to deal with extremes of poor behaviour that cannot be contained within a classroom.

 

We require a flexible and creative individual. Who:-

  • Has very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.
  • Experience of working in an education setting with students demonstrating challenging behaviour.
  • Has NVQ Level 3 in Learning & Development Support Services for children, young people and those who care for them or recognized equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.
  • Has excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.
  • Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.
  • A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.

Cleaner - Permanent Position 12 hours per week

Hours of work – Monday-Friday 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm Friday 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. To start a.s.a.p.

Actual Salary : £5,488/annum  (£9.25/hour)

 

We are seeking to appoint a cleaner to work alongside our team of cleaners to keep our school clean and tidy.  The position is 12 hours per week during term time plus other hours to be worked during school holidays to complete deep cleaning of the school buildings – to be agreed.

NB. Holidays can only be taken during school holiday periods.

 

Duties to include: mop sweeping, single solution mopping, spray cleaning, suction cleaning, damp wiping, waste disposal, cleaning of toilet facilities and associated tasks required to achieve a high quality of cleanliness.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor to join the team at Hednesford Valley High.

 

This role involves working in the Sensory Group with a HLTA on the curriculum and to produce resources for the students before and after school hours.

 

We require a flexible and creative individual. Who:-

·         Has very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.

·         Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or recognized equivalent qualification.

·         Has excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.

·         Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.

·         Can act as Cover Supervisor during the absence of teaching staff.

·         This person will be involved in personal care daily.

·         Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.

·         A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.

·         This role can change to work across the school/sites with other student groups if required.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor to join the team at Hednesford Valley High.

 

The roles involve working alongside the Science subject teacher to support the delivery of the curriculum and to run a club at lunchtime and work in clubs after school and support resources in the department.  You will be expected to support students learning up to GCSE in Science in and out of lessons.

 

We require a flexible and creative individual. Who:-

·         Experience of working in a school.

·         Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or recognized equivalent qualification.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an Inclusion Assistants to join the team at Hednesford Valley High to focus on student’s well-being across the school.

 

This role involves working in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) with small groups or 1:1. You will be required to deliver a number of subjects to students either face-to-face or using Microsoft Teams.  You will be working with Subject Leaders, students and parents/carers.

 

At the end of the school day you will have time to complete and update Boxall Profiles, plan and organise interventions, prepare reports on students and support after-school clubs.

 

We require a flexible and creative individual who:-

·         Has very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.

·         Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or recognized equivalent qualification.
