H.L.T.A. - Full-Time 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Monday & Tues 8.45 to 4.15 pm – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8.45 to 3.25 pm to start as soon as possible.

 

An exciting opportunity for an outstanding H.L.T.A. to join the team at Hednesford Valley High.

 

We require a creative and talented H.L.T.A. who:-

·         Can teach across the school but mainly Sensory and Study groups will lower levels of learning.

·         Is able to deliver a range of subjects across the curriculum as required by the timetable.

·         A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others on whole school projects.

·         To work with a range of different students with SEN across the school.

·         Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.

·         Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.

·         A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.

·         You will be a form tutor.

·         Someone who is flexible and willing to meet the needs of the school.

·         Must be willing to work on different sites.

·         Proactive, resourceful and energetic.

·         An organised and highly effective classroom practitioner

·         Must meet HLTA standards or equivalent qualification and experience.

·         Must have GCSE Grade C or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.

·         NVQ Level 4 for Teaching Assistant or recognized equivalent qualification.

Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor - Science - Permanent Position

37 hours per week. Term Time Only.

Hours of work – Mon, Tues +Thurs 08:30-16:30 – Wed 08:30-17:00 - Friday 08:30-15:30. To start a.s.a.p.

Actual Salary: £16,573-£17,587 (Pending Pay Award) – To start as soon as possible.

 

This is an exciting new opportunity for a Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor to join the team at Hednesford Valley High School.

 

The roles involve working alongside the Science subject teacher to support the delivery of the curriculum and to run a club at lunchtime and work in clubs after school and support resources in the department.  You will be expected to support students learning up to GCSE in Science in and out of lessons.

 

We require a flexible and creative individual. Who:-

·         Has very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.

·         Experience of working in a school.

·         Has NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or recognized equivalent qualification.

·         Has excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.

·         Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.

·         Can act as Cover Supervisor during the absence of teaching staff.

·         This person will occasionally be involved in supporting students with their personal care.

·         Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.

·         A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.

·         This role can change to work across the school/sites with other student groups if required.

Hednesford Valley High is a good generic secondary special school with a split site provision.  Students in Year 7-11 are based at the Hednesford Valley High, Stanley Road Site, and students in Years 12-14 are based in E block at Cannock Chase High.  The school caters for a wide range of students, many with more than one area of SEN.  All staff are totally committed to providing excellent teaching and learning to empower students to become independent citizens of the world.
